This documentary was filmed in 1989 and Max first watched it with his family in the early 90's at the age of 14 as he entered high school. His family taught him what was right and wrong and it has served him well through out his years.
Max grew up in a Biblically grounded Christian home and was also a 3 sport athlete, he remembers the music he listened to during warmups on the Soccer field and Hockey arenas, the likes of (AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, Poison, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Warrant, Skid Row, Jimmy Hendrix) and many more. Looking back at this video, he realizes now the influence of music and where it can lead, either to Christ or away from Christ. More importantly, Max learned at an early age how godly worship music prepares you to hear and receive God's word. He knew these groups listed above were not God honoring and they did not bring him into a deeper walk with Jesus but were a great hinderance and stumbling block. As an athlete this was the kind of music he heard continually, whether it was in warmups, during stoppages in the games, or even working out in the gym with the team. He learned that Music has a powerful effect on what we believe and how we live our lives. The scripture out of Ephesians Ch 5 really sums up this video.
Ephesians 5:1-20 - "Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
3 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. 4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. 5 You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. 7 Don’t participate in the things these people do. 8 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! 9 For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. 12 It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. 13 But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, 14 for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,
“Awake, O sleeper,
rise up from the dead,
and Christ will give you light.”
15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. 17 Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. 18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Listen to what King David says in Psalm 101
"I will sing of your love and justice, Lord.
I will praise you with songs.
2 I will be careful to live a blameless life—
when will you come to help me?
I will lead a life of integrity
in my own home.
3 I will refuse to look at
anything vile and vulgar.
I hate all who deal crookedly;
I will have nothing to do with them.
4 I will reject perverse ideas
and stay away from every evil.
5 I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors.
I will not endure conceit and pride.
6 I will search for faithful people
to be my companions.
Only those who are above reproach
will be allowed to serve me.
7 I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house,
and liars will not stay in my presence.
8 My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked
and free the city of the Lord from their grip."
As you watch this video Max and Mariana's heart is for you to see if you have any of these music groups in your music library and if you do, ask yourself these questions, "Does this music help me in my walk with Christ? Does it bring him glory and honor? As Romans 12:9 says, "Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good."
We are God's image bearers, at least that is what we were originally created to be but sin came and death as a result of Adam's sin. Christ, the second Adam gave his life as a final payment in full taking on the wrath of God, dying in our place. God offers it as a gift as we read in Ephesians chapter 2 that we have the choice to accept or reject it. Jesus died so that we might be born again and put our full faith and trust in him alone to be reconciled back to God through the work of Christ on our behalf.
Ephesians 2:1-10 - "Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. 2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.
4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.
8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1
"Don't team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what union can there be between God's temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don't touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God."
As I watched this documentary over Christmas break, I have been horrified by the blatant demonic in your face proud rejection of Jesus Christ. What I have seen and heard has made a lasting impact on my life and walk with Jesus Christ, to NEVER put anything foul or vulgar in my head or before my eyes. This documentary is no joke, it is bathed in scripture, but everything you see is very disturbing and should be viewed with a lot of caution. However, I share this Hell Bell's vol 1 & 2 to show the reality of what our culture is engrossed in and doesn't even realize or doesn't care. A word of encouragement, please pray before watching this, pray during it and don't watch it at night. Start your day with Christ and end it with Christ and pray for the 100 of millions of people around this world that are caught up in the DANGEROUS OCCULTIC ACTIVITY, all in the name of fun and music.
This documentary has given me an even greater purpose in shouting out like John the Baptist did in John 1:23 - "I am a voice shouting in the wilderness, 'Clear the way for the Lord's coming!" Also in John 1:29 - "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." If you need to repent because you are engaged in this, please repent and put your full faith in Jesus Christ. He can and will cleanse you of this evil in your life, trust in Christ today and walk with him in truth and grace.
If one ever wondered why our culture is so anti-Christ like, we don't have to look much further than this video, although, we know there are many reason's as to why our culture and world is where it is at. Our world is on a rapid decent and ready to plunge into the time of God's judgement with the 7 year tribulation of Revelation (but remember, the true body of Christ will be taken up to heaven in the glorious rapture of the church before then).
There are many reason's listed in this video of how we got to this place:
1. Hating and rejecting God's Word is number #1
2. Kids and young adults Defiance of parents
3. Adopting pagan rituals - Hinduism, Yoga, Transcendental Meditation, shamanism, satanism and Occultic practices and many others
4. The Influence of Psychedelic drugs
5. Alcohol - which has been problematic forever
6. Men and Women elevating themselves as God - Genesis 3 attack by the serpent - Did God really say?
7. Music - When Lucifer rebelled, he was kicked out of heaven along with 1/3 of the angels in heaven. Satan deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden. Their sin brought death to everything. We see the results of that one sin of Adam's rebellion. As Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
The Dangers of Rock music is not just for today but dates back to the 50's & 60's and even much earlier. This didn't just happen all of a sudden. When a culture rejects Christ and his Word, then the plunge into evil and following satan is the only other option. There are after all only two teams that you play or "live for" Team Jesus or Team Satan - God gives you free will to choose whom you will serve. As Romans 6:15-18 - "Well then, since God's grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don't you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God! Once you were slaves to sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living."
Our prayer is that you would truly examine what is good and bad in your life. If you have questions or concerns regarding the information you have watched, please let us know. This is for information purposes and ultimately to test it back against the Word of God. As Philippians 4:8 says, "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."
2 Timothy 3:2-5 - "For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 - "We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ."
Proverbs 14:12 - "There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death."
Ephesians 6:10-17 - "A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world against mighty powers in this dark world and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. The after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
